"I bought this hat because I have a part time job that requires me to be out in the sun around midday. It has great coverage and the back of my neck stays fully covered. The brim is nice and wide and covers my face pretty well also. I did have to remove one star because the hat is not washable and being out in the heat I am sweaty and gross. I keep it back on my head a bit so at least I don’t get my greasy face oil and makeup all over it, but still wish I could just wash it!"

"This is the first hat my husband will wear on a daily basis. The brim covers most of his nose and face and has an elastic band with a toggle that can be tightened for a more secure fit. Although the hat is more of a nylon material rather than canvas, it holds its shape well and isn't floppy in the breeze like most other similar hats he has tried and complained about. The true test will be how it performs while we're sailing, but frankly baseball hats are the only ones that can really hold up to those conditions and I don't suspect this hat will be very different from others due to the lightweight material. However, it's perfect for your daily routine and average outdoor activities."
