As a certified B Corp, we are committed to using business as a force for good and continuously improving our social and environmental performance. We support the United Nations Global Compact and align our operations with its principles on human rights, labor, environmental responsibility and anti-corruption. Our approach is guided by three Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality, and Responsible Consumption and Production.
We are committed to respecting human rights throughout our operations, workplace practices and supplier relationships, informed by internationally recognized standards including the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's core standards.
We also strive to foster justice, equity, diversity and inclusion across our workplace, customer experience, business practices and community engagement. Climate action
Solbari supports the global ambition to limit global warming to 1.5°C and is committed to continuously improving its environmental performance in line with this objective.
We are focused on reducing our environmental impact across our products, operations and supply chain through practical and measurable initiatives. This includes increasing the number of Bluesign® certified products within our range, progressing OEKO-TEX® certifications, and expanding our Circularity Program, which partners with Textile Recyclers Australia to recycle fabric waste.
We prioritise thoughtful production, eco-friendly packaging and responsible waste management practices. Our suppliers are expected to comply with environmental regulations, ensure product safety and improve energy efficiency over time. We take a continuous improvement approach, regularly reviewing opportunities to reduce emissions, minimize waste and strengthen environmental practices across the business.
Ethical manufacturing
We are dedicated to building a sustainable and ethical supply chain, focusing on transparency, fairness, and responsibility at every stage. We oversee all manufacturing processes, maintain direct factory relationships, and ensure compliance through third-party audits.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct aligns with international labour standards, and we work closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement. We also uphold strict animal welfare policies, prohibiting angora, fur, muleseed wool, leather, and animal testing in our products.
Responsible engagement
At Solbari, our focus is on empowering people to live sun smart and helping create a world without skin cancer. We do not engage in lobbying activities, make political donations, or use third parties to influence public policy on our behalf. Where we participate in discussions, consultations or initiatives relating to skin cancer prevention, public health, sustainability or responsible business practices, we aim to do so transparently and in a manner consistent with our purpose and values.
Our positions are informed by credible evidence, scientific research, and our commitment to ethical business conduct, human rights, environmental responsibility and anti-corruption. Responsibility for implementing these commitments sits with Solbari's Executive Team, with oversight provided by the Board. Positive partnerships
We believe in the power of partnerships to drive meaningful change in local communities. Through our collaboration with Thread Together, we help reduce waste and support those in need. Thread Together redirects unsold new clothing to Australians lacking access to essentials, offering dignity and hope.
In the past year, Solbari has donated over 2,000 items, supporting individuals in Australia and , more recently, communities affected by the California fires. This partnership reflects our commitment to addressing social and environmental challenges.
