Women's Ultra Wide Brim Sun Hats UPF 50+

Maximum coverage for serious sun protection. Solbari’s ultra-wide-brim hat collection is for women who want more coverage than a standard sun hat can provide. With brims measuring 5 inches at the front and up to 6 inches at the back, these styles help shade the face, ears, neck, and shoulders during extended outdoor wear.

The range includes the Solbari Ultra Wide Brim Hat with adjustable sizing and a ponytail-friendly fit, the Ultra Wide Cotton Linen Hat in a breathable natural fiber blend of cotton and linen, and the Summer Ultra Wide Brim Sun Hat for excellent coverage and extended wear.

Every style is independently tested and certified to UPF 50+, blocking at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays for covered areas by the fabric. Adjustable in size and comfortable construction support all-day wear, while selected styles carry the Skin Cancer Foundation Recommended Seal as part of Solbari’s dermatologist-endorsed range.

Natural fibers and certified UPF 50+ protection

The ultra-wide-brim collection includes both natural-fiber and technical-fabric options. The Ultra Wide Cotton Linen Hat combines breathable cotton and linen for a soft, lightweight feel suited to travel and warm-weather wear, while the standard Ultra Wide Brim and Summer Ultra Wide Brim styles use lightweight technical fabrics for everyday outdoor use. These hats are Solbari’s best-selling styles for women and have been in our range for many years. These also come in a range of attractive colors.

All hats are independently tested and certified to UPF 50+, blocking at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays across both the brim and crown. Designed in Melbourne and worn in more than 160 countries, Solbari’s dermatologist-endorsed range combines comfort with trusted sun protection.

When a wide brim isn't enough

A standard wide-brim hat helps shade the face, but lower sun angles and extended outdoor exposure can still leave the ears, neck, and shoulders exposed. Ultra-wide brims of 5–6 inches cast a larger shadow across these areas, making them ideal for beach days, travel, outdoor events, and high-UV conditions.

Solbari’s ultra-wide styles go well beyond the Cancer Council’s recommended minimum brim length for added coverage, without sacrificing comfort. Lightweight fabrics, adjustable bands, and ponytail-friendly designs support all-day wear.
