UPF 50+ fabric, built for sport and everyday wear

Every Solbari fabric is independently tested and certified to UPF 50+, the highest available rating. This means our polos and shirts block at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays for reliable outdoor protection.

UPF 50+ protection is built into the fabric. Lightweight constructions, breathable weaves, and quick-drying fabrics keep these styles comfortable for golf, hiking, travel, and all-day outdoor use.

Selected fabrics carry the Skin Cancer Foundation Recommended Seal, and Solbari’s range is dermatologist-endorsed.

How to choose the right UPF 50+ polo for you

Different fabrics suit different activities. Sensitive fabrics use natural fibers; a soft cotton and viscose from bamboo blend for delicate skin. Dry Lite fabrics are moisture-wicking, quick-drying performance fabrics for sport and hiking. Keep Your Cool fabrics provide a cooling feel in warmer conditions.

Women's UV polos with short sleeves work well for hot-weather activities, while long-sleeve styles provide more complete arm coverage. Quarter zip tops are ideal for layering on cooler mornings or travel days, these can also be worn on their own.

Features like thumbholes, longer back hems, breathable mesh panels, and clean collars make women's UPF polos practical for the course, the trail, and everyday wear.

Pair with women’s golf and outdoor sportswear, or complete your outfit with women’s sun hats.

Solbari FAQs

UPF, or Ultraviolet Protection Factor, is the fabric equivalent of SPF in sunscreen, measuring UV protection. All Solbari fabrics are certified UPF 50+ by Australian and international independent laboratories, offering the highest level of sun protection. Our range of UPF 50+ fabrics protect the skin against UVA and UVB rays, sun damage, sunburn, and premature skin aging.

Yes. Solbari offers UPF 50+ sun hats in a wide range of men's and women's styles, including wide-brim, bucket, travel, and neck-protection designs. Explore women's sun hats or browse men's sun hats.

No, not all fabrics provide the same level of sun protection. A regular white cotton t-shirt typically has a UPF rating of around 5, which allows significant UV exposure. In contrast, all Solbari fabrics achieve a UPF rating of 50+, the highest possible rating for fabrics. UPF 50+ products block at least 98% of UV rays, providing the same level of protection as wearing SPF 50+ sunscreen throughout the day (but without having to reapply!).

A regular cotton polo may provide as little as UPF 5, allowing significant UV exposure. A Solbari UPF polo shirt is independently tested and certified UPF 50+ to block at least 98% of UVA and UVB rays. Explore the difference between ordinary clothing and UPF clothing.

Yes. Products from our Keep Your Cool range are cooling, moisture-wicking and quick-drying for outdoor sport, while the collared finish makes a UPF polo polished enough for golf club dress codes. Explore more women’s golf and outdoor sportswear.

Yes. Sensitive Collection polos use natural fibers, a soft cotton-and-bamboo blend made for reactive or sun-sensitive skin. Selected fabrics are dermatologist-endorsed and carry the Skin Cancer Foundation Recommended Seal. Learn more about Solbari’s dermatologist panel.
