Reviews

Snug, comfortable, UV protection for the hands.

"I recently purchased these UV protective driving gloves in black/small. They provide excellent protection from UV radiation, and are comfortable and snug. I opted for black, since this colour absorbs the most UV. The material is very dense, so no stray photons can penetrate the weave. Solbari produces superb quality clothing, and these gloves are no exception. I highly recommend."

Excellent Hand Coverage

"I have fairly small hands, but these gloves fit perfectly and provide great coverage down over the wrists. The quality of the gloves feel luxurious and durable and are very comfortable to use while driving. The traction on the gloves provide great grip for a steering wheel. I love the little index and thumb finger slits for being able to use a touchscreen more easily."

I’m very particular about sun

"I’m very particular about sun protection, and Solbari gloves did not disappoint. They’re super comfortable, not too thick, and I can wear them for hours without feeling overheated. I use them mostly for driving and being outdoors, and they’ve made a noticeable difference compared to just using sunscreen."

As President of a Classic

"As President of a Classic and Historic Car Club in Australia I do a lot of driving. Our conditions are harsh and Solbari driving gloves give my hands and wrists perfect protection from the damaging sun. Highly recommended!"

Better than expected

"Gloves have a good grip which was my first concern, they also feel cool while wearing. I keep them in the centre console and try to put them on first thing while car is warming up every time to create the habit. I have small hands and short fingers and these gloves fit perfectly for me. I can use touch screen like normal."

Rebekah M. (5/5)

Easy to slip on, good

"Easy to slip on, good grip, the colour /tone is spot on and they look good. The touch screen fingers are not that sensitive and the stitching at the top of the fingers make them a little awkward to use on the phone. In terms of measurements, my palm/hand is a small based on their guide, but I have long and slender/boney fingers so I originally bought the small then had to repurchase a medium so that my fingers fit even when the rest of the hand is slightly loose but I don’t mind so much as the small was snug in my opinion and I wanted breathability in the hot summers here in Norcal. Keep in mind if you’ve got long fingers but a small hand overall, you should just get a medium. Overall I’m quite happy with the gloves in terms of its comfort and coverage. I really do like the palm side grip it makes driving easy."

Comfortable protection!

"These gloves are great—Very soft and comfortable. They actually make it easier to grip the steaming wheel while protecting my hands from the sun. And I have starting using them for walking or other activities outside because they are so easy to wear. They also have finger touch pads which makes it easy to use a cell phone while wearing them. Had no idea I would love them so much!"

Lisa L. (5/5)

I have photosensitivity issues and

"I have photosensitivity issues and have tried numerous gloves that mostly work but don't alway feel great and sometimes are hard to get on. But these gloves are by far the best gloves I have ever used! They feel amazing and my hands don't sweat in them. I will be definitely purchasing another pair! LOVE them!!"

Amie S. (5/5)

These gloves have a good

"These gloves have a good grip for the steering wheel, and the fingertip exposure slit is convenient however the length of the wrist coverage is too short. As shown in the picture there is a gap between the end of the glove and the top of the shirt sleeve. I've had to find other ways to protect my skin in this area. This is a design fault with the glove and with the requirement being sun protection, the gloves do not meet this adequately."

Janis F. (5/5)

Finally, Comfortable UV Protection for My Hands

"I recently purchased these gloves and although I’ve only tried them a few times so far, my first impressions are really positive. I have polymorphic light eruption (UV intolerance) along with heat intolerance, so protecting my skin while staying cool is essential. The gloves feel lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to wear, which is exactly what I need. They don’t feel heavy or restrictive, and they’re easy to keep on without overheating. If they’re anything like the jacket I purchased from Solbari, I’m confident they’ll provide excellent UV protection and become a staple for me, especially during sunnier days. So far, I’m really happy with them and looking forward to using them more."
