My name is Rowena.
My skin condition is vitiligo, which I have had since an early age of a few months old.
Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition where the pigmentation the skin is attacked by the body and destroyed, causing white patches.
As a child and young adult, I was always embarrassed for people to see me in public and have always had low self-esteem. As I grew older my patches have expanded and spread, and my skin is now totally white, with no pigmentation at all. As a result, my skin is very sun sensitive and is very prone to burning quickly and easily.
I do not like sunscreen smothered all over my body, so I have been seeking some suitable ways to keep myself sun safe. A friend recommended Solbari clothing and I am pleased to have found a cool, comfortable, casual selection of clothes and accessories that enable me to feel confident in the sun and taking good care of my skin.
Thank you Rowena for helping raise awareness for skin conditions by sharing your story with us and our Solbari Community.

Solbari receives the prestigious Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation
We are proud to share that Solbari products have been formally recognized by the New York headquartered Skin Cancer Foundation.
We understand that getting an appointment with a dermatologist or skin doctor can be challenging and expensive.
We decided it would be great to bring the best early skin cancer detection technology direct to the Solbari global community.
The introduction of “lockdowns”, the restriction of movement and non-essential healthcare activities being suspended have had an impact on the diagnosis of cancer cases including skin cancer.
Countries around the World are now evaluating the unintended consequences of Covid-19 restrictions on the diagnosis of cancer. Sadly, cancer related death rates are expected to increase over the coming years due to the delay in diagnosis.
